About Me

I am Andy Jacklin, a 38-year-old from a small town named Winterton in North Lincolnshire.

In school I enjoyed all sports including football, tennis and running.  It is from here that I developed my passion for running, both on track and cross country.  This lead to representing my school at the inter-school competitions and being selected to represent North Lincolnshire at 1500m on the track.

I joined the British Army at the age of 16 and have competed at multiple track and cross country events throughout my career.  During this time, I have also run varying distances including half marathon, marathon and ultra-marathon, with my latest event being a 24hr charity run completing 101 miles.

Charity events are something I do every year and raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity very close to my heart.

Using this passion for running I decided to complete my Running Coaching qualifications, resulting in now being an England Athletics Running Coach. This will now allow me to help others achieve their goals and enjoy the sport that I love.
